This video captures a blend of past and present, embodying answered prayers. It was taken on November 30th, 2018. A year later, a prayer was fulfilled: I welcomed two beautiful grandchildren. However, despite this joy, I can't see them due to lingering resentment from my daughter towards my past actions. Nevertheless, I've learned to trust the Lord; she remains in my prayers. The music, one in Spanish and the other in English, reflects my journey. The Spanish melody echoes the person I once was, while the English tune symbolizes my transformation after surrendering my life to Jesus Christ at Set-Free church. Only four months into my newfound faith, I was freed from the grip of heroin and methamphetamines. Serving as a house manager and discipleship leader, I realized that these roles were not by my own merit but by God's grace. Initially disheartened by the lack of stewardship and the infestation of bedbugs at Set-Free church, I questioned why God had led me there. His voice resounded within me in my frustration, urging me to take action. With the strength and wisdom bestowed upon me by Jesus Christ, I initiated a mission to eradicate the bedbugs. This endeavor restored Set-Free church to its intended purpose as a discipleship program. Reflecting on my time there, I recall the countless men who sought refuge and spiritual guidance like me. Set-Free Church was once a vibrant community of devoted disciples fueled by their passion for the Lord. However, having heard of recent challenges, I am still determining its current state. As we remember the past and pray for the present, let us lift up Set-Free church in Tucson, AZ, asking for renewed fervor and guidance for its members and leaders.
